Sign a document from an email

Open your personal invitation, verify your email, review the PDF and send your signature. You do not need to sign in to a Landwide dashboard for this flow.

Who can use it: For people who received a document-signing invitation. Open the link from your own email, not another person’s forwarded link.

4 how-tos · 15 steps

What you can do

  • Verify access with a six-digit code sent to the invitation email address.
  • Read the fixed PDF and use Next signature to find the boxes assigned to you.
  • Draw one signature, confirm the consent checkbox and review how your signature appears before sending.
  • See confirmation of your own signature separately from completion of the whole agreement.

How-to 1

Open the invitation and verify your email

  1. Step 1:

Open the latest signing invitation email and follow its link. Check that the invitation is for you; ask the sender for your own invitation if a link was forwarded to you.

  2. Step 2:

Select Send verification code. Keep the page open while the email is prepared and sent.

  3. Step 3:

Enter the latest six-digit code and select Verify code. Keep the entered code while verification runs; after success, the document opens automatically.

  4. Step 4:

If the code is incorrect, check the latest email and try again. If it expired or cannot be used, request a new code when the resend countdown ends.

How-to 2

Review, draw and send your signature

  1. Step 1:

Wait for the PDF to load and read the document. Use the page and zoom controls as needed, then Next signature to visit your assigned boxes.

  2. Step 2:

Select a highlighted signature box or Sign document. Check the displayed signing name and draw with your mouse, finger or pen. Use Redraw to start again.

  3. Step 3:

Read the consent text and select its required checkbox. Select Review signature to return to the PDF with your signature shown in its assigned boxes.

  4. Step 4:

Read the document again if needed. Use Edit signature to change the drawing, then select Send signature only when you are ready to submit.

  5. Step 5:

Wait for confirmation. Adding the drawing and reviewing it do not submit it; Send signature is the final action.

How-to 3

Understand the confirmation

  1. Step 1:

Your signature was received means your part was recorded and the completed document is still being prepared. You do not need to sign again.

  2. Step 2:

Awaiting other signatures means your signature is recorded but other people still need to sign. Only the completed agreement message confirms that all signatures and the final document are ready.

  3. Step 3:

Check the recorded signing date when shown. You can close the confirmation page safely; ask the sender if you need a copy of the completed document.

How-to 4

If you cannot continue

  1. Step 1:

If your session ended, reopen the link from the latest email. If the code expired, request a new code.

  2. Step 2:

If the invitation expired, was cancelled or is for someone else, contact the sender. A forwarded link does not give you another person’s right to sign.

  3. Step 3:

If the document changed, review the current document again before signing. If the page is checking whether your signature was received, wait for that result and use the offered retry rather than starting another signature.

Good to know

  • The sender fixes the document and the signature boxes before sending. You can read and sign them, but you cannot move boxes or edit the document.
  • Use the latest code. Requesting another code can replace an earlier one.
  • Drawing a signature is not the final submission. Review the PDF and select Send signature to finish your part.
